Day 19?: Nick Miller and research

Good evening you beautiful sons of bitches,

I am oh so very sorry about not posting for the past couple of days, I have just been too lazy and lets be honest here, my life isn’t that exciting on a day to day basis since everyday is almost just like the previous day. But nonetheless here is a new addition of “Matt’s Insanity”. Let’s lead it off like normal with a beer and nicotine check.

Nicotine: Running on my last few cans, will probably pick up some more tomorrow when I go do homework.

Beer: I bought two thirty racks the other day, so I am sitting at a fantastic amount, mainly since I am drinking less each night. Look at me go, drinking less, I am an icon.

Alright alright alright, lets get to the action of the last few days and then some stellar research I did the other day. My days have been the same. Brooklyn nine-nine (finished), New girl, Boston Red Sox baseball, and class. Class is a new thing added to this list, but I think you all forgot I am a scholar first. Books over everything, except beer and nicotine, those are needed for me to hit the books. School sucks just as it did in person but now, I can yell at the screen without being noticed which is huge for me since I hate most of my classmates. I started watching new girl for the third time and man its just as amazing as I remember. With that being said let’s get into the research I did.

Over the last 24 hours I saw a strong resemblance to Nick Miller from new girl. I was interested if others thought the same. So, I messaged of my close friends and asked if they saw the same resemblance I saw, they did not disappoint with their answers. One person did compare me to Winston instead but that’s just ridiculous, I am not a fucking Winston, don’t be disrespectful. But now on to the results.

Reasons Matthew Thompson is similar to Nick Miller:

· Passionate and willingness to help the people he loves.

· Negative but comedic outlook on life.

· Comedic relief for friends.

· Angry

· Hatred of love but deep down wants someone to love him.

· Possible alcoholism

· Charisma and general attitude towards everything.

· Handling of situations, funny yet practical

· Beer, sports, friends yet intelligent (that one had to be down as one bullet, don’t hate)

· Similar mindsets

· Similar mannerisms

· Both act gruff but are a teddy bear deep down

· Possible alcoholism

· Strong feelings for outlandish things/ideas

· Sarcastic

· Funny

· Best friends with girls

· Both cannot express feelings well (FUCKING TRUE)

· The best “fricken” person

· Can both write a pepper woods novel in their spare time

· Can see both working as a bartender

· Best character in show and in real life

· Possibly a combination of nick and Schmidt because of anger for absurd things

So that wraps up the comparisons for nick and I and I personally think they are spot on comparisons. I think some of my subjects lied to me about being the best and funny, but I’ll fucking take a compliment when I can get one! I would like to personally thank every person who helped me with my research. I have the best friends in the entire world. Some reason they want to be my friend, but once again I’ll take it. One of my amazing friends even has my blog pinned to her phone’s home screen.
